The Kent goalkeeper competing internationally for Trinidad and Tobago and the county’s two FA Trophy and FA Vase quarter-finalists are among those celebrated in the next episode of the Kent Football Show.
Kent FA’s award-winning online television programme showcases the positive stories and inspiring people behind football in the county, and the next episode will be available to watch from 2pm on Thursday, 27 February.
In the latest edition, hosted by Charlotte Richardson, we catch up with two clubs that have reached the last eight of the FA’s prestigious cup competitions for non-league teams, leaving them both just two rounds away from playing in a Wembley final.
Sittingbourne FC have experienced a magical journey to the quarter-finals of the Isuzu FA Trophy, which included a memorable 1-0 away victory over Southend United earlier this month.
Anthony Church scored the late winner at Roots Hall in what was arguably the biggest result in Sittingbourne’s history, with National League outfit the Shrimpers playing three tiers above the Brickies, who compete in the Isthmian League South East Division.
Sittingbourne are now preparing for a home quarter-final tie against Aldershot on Saturday, 1 March, and we catch up with them ahead of the big game.
Whitstable Town have enjoyed an unforgettable cup run of their own in the Isuzu FA Vase, with a 2-1 victory over Fleet Town in the last 16 setting up a mouthwatering quarter-final fixture against Whitchurch Alport.
Mikey Dalton and Jayden Boulton were on target for the Oystermen in their thrilling fifth round win, and all eyes will be on the Belmont Stadium when it hosts this weekend’s last-eight encounter.
