Kent FA staff measure grass height

Join Kent FA as a PitchPower Mentor

We are recruiting PitchPower Mentors to help support the development of pitches across Kent.

Kent FA are looking to recruit PitchPower Mentors to support the ambition to transform the quality of grassroots football pitches.

Job Title: PitchPower Mentor
Remuneration: £15 per pitch assessed
Hours per week: Variable based on demand
Vacancy Type: Self-employment basis, until 30th June 2025
Location: Remote

PitchPower is the Football Foundation’s web-app which is free to use for clubs and organisations with responsibility for grass football pitches. The app is the mechanism to enable the Grounds Management Association to assess the quality of grass pitches and support clubs and organisations with an advisory report with recommended operations that will help improve the quality of the pitches. Receipt of the report is also the green light to apply for Football Foundation funding to support the delivery of the recommended operations.

Kent FA are looking for individuals who are confident in mobile technology who can support and teach club volunteers and organisations to undertake their initial PitchPower assessments.

The PitchPower Mentors will report directly to the Facility and Investment Lead but will work on a remote basis out supporting clubs and organisations with their assessments.

No experience of grass pitch maintenance is required though any experience would be beneficial along with an understanding of grassroots football. Full training of the PitchPower app will be provided, so applicants need only be confident using a mobile phone and a confident communicator. A driving licence and access to a vehicle would also be required.

If this role could be for you, please view the job description and person specification and submit an application ahead of the deadline on Friday 12th July 2024.
