DFDS Kent Senior Cup returns to Priestfield

The DFDS Kent Senior Cup Final is back to Priestfield Stadium, home of Gillingham FC, to be played Wednesday 3 May 2023

The DFDS Kent Senior Cup Final will return to Priestfield for the first time since 2015 and will be held on Wednesday 3rd May 2023.

The last time the Final was held at Priestfield saw Charlton Athletic defeat Gillingham 1-0 in April 2015.

Priestfield, the home of Gillingham FC, is the largest football stadium in the county and home to the only EFL Kent club in the football pyramid.

Gillingham FC will again play in the Kent Senior Cup this year alongside other leading Kent clubs Ebbsfleet, Welling United, and current Cup holders Dartford. The Kent boundary historically ran all the way to Tower Bridge in London, and clubs that were previously affiliated are still welcome to affiliate and enter the Kent Senior Cup.

The Kent FA runs 25 County Cups each season, with the DFDS Kent Senior Cup being the most prestigious of the competitions. We're delighted to have welcomed DFDS into the Kent FA family as the adult county cup partner for the next two seasons.

Darryl Haden, Chief Executive of the Kent FA comments; “We are delighted that the Kent Senior Cup will return to Priestfield stadium for the 2022 - 2023 final and that Gillingham FC will join the other senior clubs in Kent in hosting a Kent County Cup final. Our thanks go to Paul Fisher and Bradley Galinson from Gillingham FC for agreeing to this. We provide 25 County Cup competitions across the youth and adult games and these finals will be played at the best facilities across Kent. This, along with the sponsorships with DFDS and The Merit Group, will provide a great experience for those involved in the finals.”
