The Kent FA is the Governing Body for Football who governs, develops and promotes grassroots football across Kent.
Salary: £12,000 honorarium
Hours: 10 -15 hours per month (this includes attendance at monthly Board Meetings)

Kent FA is seeking to recruit a Director of Finance to support the strategic development of the association. The Director of Finance role is a pivotal position encompassing the strategic and operational needs of the Kent FA, including overseeing the accounting and financial control functions of the organisation. The Finance Director is accountable to the Chairman and the Board of Directors.
The successful applicant will;
- Support the strategic development of the Kent FA, contributing to the strategic objectives and business plan.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and ensure the timely production of management accounts, tax and other statutory returns including the filing of accounts with Companies House and company returns to the Charities Commission.
- Support the Board of Directors, Chief Executive and Finance Officer with financial information and interpretation to assist decision making across the organisation.
- Act as the point of contact for the Company’s auditors and accountants.
The successful applicant will need to be passionate about football at a local level; be able to debate, discuss and challenge in a constructive manner, with the ability to form strong, productive relationships both internally and externally. Ideally, they will have experience of Senior Management and an understanding of Small to medium businesses with a turnover of circa £1 million. An accounting qualification is desirable as well as an ability to understand financial accounts, management accounts and budgeting.
