Discover what's happening in football across the county with the Kent Football Show
Bearsted FC’s exciting development plans, the East Kent Youth Football League’s 50th anniversary celebrations and an adult disability festival are among the highlights of the next episode of the Kent Football Show.
Our award-winning online YouTube programme showcases the positive news stories in football across Kent and shines a light on the county’s clubs, leagues, players and volunteers.
The latest episode, to be released on Thursday, 19 December, is brought to you from Bearsted Football Club, where our host Charlotte Richardson chats to Chair Jamie Houston about plans to develop the club both on and off the pitch.
Kent has one of the largest disability football leagues in the country and, in this instalment, Kent FA Football Development Officer for Inclusion, Harry Mark, visits the Kent Disability Football League’s recent adult festival to explore its growth.
With last month marking half a century of the East Kent Youth League, we shine a spotlight on the league’s journey and how those involved are celebrating the milestone, while Rebecca Moore, Kent FA’s Football Development Officer for Women and Girls, goes behind the scenes at the new Kent Women’s Futsal League.
Volunteers play a key role in the successful day-to-day running of football in the county and the Kent Football Show provides an opportunity to recognise some of their achievements.
In this episode, we thank several volunteers for their hard work, including Sam Rains, who is social secretary at Rainham Eagles, Faversham Strike Force’s Under-18s coach Michael Teaney, and Paul Bunting, who is player registration officer and administration assistant at Chartham Sports Club. The show also recognises Roseacre Raiders Secretary Dominique Thomas and Natalie White, who wears a number of hats at Wigmore Youth FC.
We bring you our regular Kent Football Show features, including Barming Youth Under-14 Colts attempting the Ultimate Target Challenge, Kent FA Referee Development Lead Nick Dunn testing viewers’ knowledge of the laws of the game and the latest Kent County Cup draws.
The Kent Football Show is sponsored by Kent Reliance and won the Brand Engagement Award at last year’s County FA Recognition Awards.
