Kent Junior Cup B
DFDS Kent Junior B Cup Final: Kemsing United 3 Westerham 1 (AET)
Kemsing United needed extra-time to finally defeat Westerham in a keenly-contested derby at the Gallagher Stadium.
After a first half of few chances, Kemsing went ahead two minutes after the break when excellent work by Tom Middelboe set up Matt Crompton to score.
Missed chances then proved costly as Westerham finished strongly and deservedly levelled through Danny Pledge’s header from a Danny Tong free-kick.
Kemsing regained the lead in extra-time through player-of-the-match Middelboe and Westerham were reduced to 10 men when Tong collected back-to-back yellow cards.
The tie was wrapped up when Connor Jeffery added a third with five minutes left, although there was still time for Westerham to have a second player dismissed as Henry Bangerter collected a second yellow card.
