Equality and Diversity
We are committed to fostering an inclusive culture within Kent Football.
Our commitment to equality and diversity is not new; we created an Equality Advisory Group in 2009, one of the first County FAs to do so, and achieved the Foundation Level of the Sporting Equals National Equality Standard for Sport in the same year.
Further developments around our equality and diversity work led to us achieving the Preliminary Level of the National Equality Standard for Sport in 2013 and being re-certificated for this standard in 2022.
Key to achieving this was developing and delivering an Equality Action Plan (EAP), which enabled us to begin embedding equality, diversity and inclusion across the Kent FA and football in the County. This responsibility covers the governance, promotion and development of football, which provides structure and support to all those who wish to participate in the game as a player, coach, volunteer, and/or referee.
We must ensure that everyone can progress in a safe and enjoyable, inclusive environment.
Our community is a diverse, cosmopolitan mix of cultures, religions, backgrounds and abilities, and Kent FA will strive to ensure diversity and inclusion in everything we do.
